il rosso signica gioia, entusiasmo, felicità / red colour which represents joy, colourfullness, liveliness of spirit and enthusiasm in sports

BOAVISTA FC 1903 / BIANCO-NERO / WHITE-BLACK

le prime divise erano nere, il colore che si sporcava di meno e resisteva meglio ai lavaggi. In seguito venne aggiunto il bianco per rendere meno lugubre la maglia. La scacchiera rappresenta il muro invalicabile che si trovano davanti gli avversari  / the first uniforms were all black, the color gets dirty less and better withstand washing.
